About Us

After being the person behind Permastall® Pre Cast Concrete Stables since 2002 Heath is now in charge. At the beginning of July 2007, Heath and his partner Alison took over Permastall® Pre Cast Concrete Stables. They still offer the same high quality product from a smaller office, with more personal service. Now when you call the office you will be speaking directly to Heath or Alison who own and run the business. This means that you will be talking to the same people right through out your project, from your first phone call through to sign off on the project.

Heath began his journey to becoming a trade-qualified boilermaker in Mudgee in 1988. He then commenced further training in the engineering field, covering project management, drafting, design work, cost control etc.

A move to Sydney in 2000 to work for a larger firm found him in the roll of workshop manager and estimator. This furthered his interest in the design and construction industry and ultimately led him to his work at Permastall® Concrete Stables in Newcastle.

Alison is the horse sense behind the operation having been involved with horses most of her life. Her family bred and raced thoroughbreds for many years and are still involved in the racing industry. Her interest in horses however is not limited to racing. Her love of horses of all kinds is evident in her attention to detail in the stables they design and build. The safety and comfort of your horses is her main concern.

Benefits of Steel & Concrete Construction

  • Built to last. A concrete and steel structure is going to last a lot longer than those built of more traditional materials.
  • Less maintenance
  • Concrete doesn’t rust or rot.
  • Quick and easy to install.
  • Paintable to your own colour scheme (Concrete does not have to be grey).
  • Termite proof and rodent resistant.
  • Easy to clean and disinfect. Bacteria is not going to be able to penetrate concrete as easily as other materials.
  • Concrete is a flat smooth surface with nothing to get hooked on or cause abrasions.
  • Concrete is more able to keep out the heat in summer and keep in the warm in winter than other products
  • A horse will never be able to kick through a concrete wall and cut them selves or cause other similar injuries.
  • Fabricated steel frames are strong and lend themselves to a wide range of designs.
  • Fabricated off site to minimize the time spent on site. Fewer disturbances to your routine.
